Warranty
Every product purchased from Zmodo Direct come with a full 1 year maufacture warranty. Should any item fail during this time, simply contact RMA support at 866-551-6881 and select option for support. Zmodo Direct is the only company to offer an unbeatable 2 year warranty on items purchased under our optional extended warranty. If you would like to extend the warranty (applies to complete 4,8,16 channel kits) for an additional year please contact our sales department. The cost for this extended warranty is $59.00. You must have this payment completed within 14 days or original order date. No warranty service will be offered for any reason after 1 year.
This warranty does not include non-Zmodo installed components. This limited warranty does not cover any damage to the product that results from abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, abuse, accident, improper installation, misuse, insufficient or excessive electrical supply, natural disaster, or any unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification. This limited warranty also does not apply to any product on which the original product label and or UPC information has been altered, obliterated or removed, has not been handled or packaged correctly, has been sold as second-hand, or has been resold contrary to US export regulations.
This limited warranty covers only replacements for defective Zmodo products, as described above. Zmodo Direct does not cover under warranty and is not liable for any loss of data or any costs associated with diagnosing the source of system problems or installing, removing or servicing Zmodo products. This warranty excludes 3rd party software, connected equipment or stored data. In the event of a claim, our sole obligation shall be to replace our product with its equivalent or the best possible substitute.
Under no circumstances shall Zmodo Direct be liable in any way to the user for damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use of, or inability to use the Zmodo products. Zmodo reserves the right to revise or update its products, software, or documentation in keeping with technological advances without obligation to notify any individual or entity.
Technical Support and firmware upgrades for Zmodo products are restricted to the country/region of purchase. Please refer to www.zmodo.com/Contact/ in order to contact us to clarify any concerns with the warranty.
Return Policy:
A majority items may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund via store credit at Zmodo Direct. If you choose not to accept the store credit, a small 15% restocking fee will apply to all refunds. All returns must be returned at the customer’s expense in their original packaging and meet the following conditions:
NO RETURNS on installed systems for any reason. Please inspect the system and connect the cameras to test them first to make sure they will work for you.

Return Shipping:
Unless Zmodo made an error, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We will be happy to help you determine which shipping method to use once you have requested your RA number. We highly recommend insuring larger items for their retail value to protect against shipping damage.
Please be sure to carefully follow all return-shipping instructions that are included with your Return Authorization number. If an item is returned to the wrong address, Zmodo reserves the right to charge for any additional shipping fees associated with shipping the item to the correct location. If your package is lost, stolen, damaged we will file an claim with Fedex and you will receive a replacement once the case is closed by Fedex. If your package was delivered to the incorrect address because you have entered in the incorrect address at time when you made the order Zmodo Direct will not be responsible. You recieve an email notification when the order is place and also when item ships with your billing and ship to address. We will not replace or refund customer errors for any reason so please verify your order during and after checkout. If we ship to the incorrect address for any reason and it is an address that is different from the address on your invoice we will replace the items immediately.
Damaged Items:
If you discover an item is damaged in shipping, please refuse delivery resulting in the product being shipped back to the manufacturer. Then immediately contact us at sales@zmododirect.com. You will still need to request an RMA number by completing our easy online Return Authorization Request. This will allow us to inform the manufacturer of the damage and inform them the product is being returned. Additionally, it allows us to immediately replace the product with a new product or credit you for the return.
Cancelled or Refused Orders:
Orders cancelled after the item has shipped are subject to all standard return policies. You must accept delivery, obtain an RMA Number and ship the item back to the correct address. This policy is the same for Refused Delivery orders. If delivery of an item is refused, return shipping costs are deducted from the issued credit and a 15% restocking fee (minimum $25) will apply. Second-Day and Next-Day shipping costs will not be credited if delivery is refused.
Credits Once your return is received, Zmodo Direct will issue a credit to the credit card used for the purchase. Please allow up to 7 business days for your credit to be issued.
